I was at a table with slain student Sandy Scheuer's mother and Canfora's mother and Mrs. Scheuer started talking about a Bar Mitzvah she attended. Ms. Canfora was literally shaking like a leaf at every Jewish reference. I do not know if Mrs. Scheuer was oblivious to Mrs. Canfora's discomfort or just being polite in ignoring her reaction, but I finally understood why Alan Canfora could not bring himself to admit three of the four victims were Jewish and why he had to kept referring to them as if they celebrated Christmas. Canfora, by the way, may have possession of Arthur Krause's papers, but he will not share them with other researchers. A distinguished historian recently tried to see the papers, but Canfora would not cooperate with him.<br />William A.
